Like the King Kraak Torpedo, the King Relon was named for the combat effectivity of an Imperial Pilot. Relon was a very influential Keldonian in the Empire's service as a Special Operations pilot. He was known for his devastating tactical strikes and ability to fade away as if he was never there in the first place. Relon eventually retired to a country manor on Keldon Prime, and shortly after his death, the King Relon torpedo was designed to posthumously honour his loyal actions in service of the Ska`ari Emperor.
Whilst the King Relon is not as powerful as the King Kraak, it still packs a fearsome punch (the tactical nuclear warhead being only two thirds the power of the warhead used in the King Kraak), an advanced guidance system, and not quite a big a price tag as the King Kraak, making it easier on your pocket, and easier to deliver to the enemy.
